(Even more) Stuff Tea People Like

Greetings, Tea People! We have so enjoyed our time discussing on our blog and other social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter), our initial list of Stuff Tea People Like. It’s not in our interest to pigeon hole all of you, but it is very much in our interest to make you laugh at yourselves, and some perfectly cliched things relating to tea. Don’t forget, of course, that we recognize that any effort to truly generalize you is wasted on your smart, attractive uniqueness. We were most fond of a respondent who said, “I feel like I don’t like about half of these. I’m a special snowflake!” Well put, Lisa. On the other hand, if we’ve truly nailed any of you with every single item on this list, well, we’re impressed with ourselves and (mostly) you for being a tea drinking cliché … Continue reading

Not all tea bags are created equal: Our contribution to Fresh Cup Magazine

This month we had the opportunity to appear in Fresh Cup Magazine, a trade publication for specialty coffee and tea professionals. The topic? Right up our alley, of course: Quality bagged tea, and why serving tea in sachets results in a delightful combination of superior tea and convenience. Read the text in full here, or view the digital version of our article on this link. Reclaiming the Convenience of Single Serve Tea By Naomi Havlen Pity the poor tea bag. Once beloved and regarded as ingenious upon its accidental invention approximately 110 years ago, the mention of tea in a convenient, ready-to-be-steeped package has become the anathema of self-proclaimed tea purists around the world. “Tea bags are gross—loose is the only way to go” is the sort of righteous proclamation you can find saturating tea blogs. What’s a well-meaning tea … Continue reading

The big reveal: Check out our new packaging!

Weeks ago we introduced you to our new shorter name, “two leaves tea company.” And as we mentioned to you in a blog post, the new name would of course come hand in hand with a new logo AND brand new packaging. So … here it is! Of course, the biggest difference with this box is how it looks — we’ve got 18 brightly colored boxes featuring our new logo (that is, our shorter name), one photo on the front to show you what’s in the sachets in that box, and text on the other side that succinctly tells you our mission as a tea company. But maybe you want a few more “new” details, so here they are: Our boxes won’t be shrink wrapped anymore. Instead, as well as the perforation on the front of the box that helps … Continue reading

Paisley Tea Co.: It’s more than one might expect

We’re unveiling an exciting new venture here at two leaves: Introducing our brand new range of teas called Paisley Tea Co., comprising four delicious varieties of English style tea! What is English style tea, you ask? We think of it as rich, robust, dark in the cup and delicious with or without milk. It’s the sort of tea you might want to drink everyday! Our new Paisley teas come in traditional paper teabags rather than pyramid-shaped sachets, but just like other two leaves teas, this is top quality tea, sourced around the world from the best organic gardens. Two leaves CEO and founder Richard Rosenfeld says his goal in creating Paisley is to offer “premium quality tea that isn’t often seen in the world of affordable, everyday tea.” Each box of Paisley contains 24 tea bags, and each tea bag … Continue reading
