Preparing Loose Tea

Brewing up the perfect cuppa' loose leaf tea is not as hard as one thinks. Simply take 1 teaspoon of loose tea per large cuppa (that's how the teaspoon got it's name!) and pour fully boiling water over black and herbal teas or lightly boiling water over green and white teas. Steep for 3-5 minutes depending on personal taste, and enjoy the experience of loose tea!

There are of course plenty of ways to more fully enjoy loose tea. Try using a Brew Basket to keep loose tea out of the cup once you're done steeping, or use one of our Performance Scales to help measure out the perfect cuppa' - we recommend around 2.5 or 2.7 grams, depending on the type of tea and personal preference.
