What makes this tea sophisticated are the flowery orange pekoe leaves, which brew up a deep copper color. Just as strong as traditional "builder's tea" (drank every day in Britain), this tea also manages to be layered and complex like fine wine.

I wanted a darker cup than our Assam but without getting that murky smokiness that can be associated with English Breakfast. For me, English Breakfast is a tea to be taken with milk so it has to be strong enough to hold up well. I did not however, want to loose the sweetness that one gets from a pure high-quality India tea. Most English Breakfast teas include less expensive “blending teas” from other origins. Ours is the pure high-quality kind.
